The DWT experience will begin Saturday, August 16th at 12:00pm Noon – 5:00 pm and continue Sunday, August 17th from 12:30 pm until 5:00 pm. Wine enthusiasts can enjoy weekend-long festivities at Dahlonega’s award-winning wineries and beautiful vineyards as well as the always relaxing visit to Dahlonega and Lumpkin County’s destination amenities and attractions.
Dahlonega Wine Trail event passports are only $30 per person including a Souvenir Glass (for the first 1,200 people). Your passport is good for the weekend of August 16 & 17 for one visit to each winery. Ticket stubs in the passport are redeemable at each winery for free tastings. Many local tasting rooms in downtown Dahlonega are also offering specials for passport holders.

Yonah Mountain Vineyards officially announces the Grand Opening of our expanded facility located in Cleveland, Georgia. What started with a 2,200 square foot winery in 2006 will be expanded to a 30,000 square foot tasting room and event facility allowing our guests to fully experience the beauty of the nearly 200 acre vineyard located at the base of iconic Yonah Mountain.
Phase One of the expansion, opening Saturday March 8, 2014, features an expanded winery, the addition of a second wine cave, and the new octagonal tasting room. “We believe our new tasting room and facility creates a true destination for our guests,” said Bob Miller, Owner of Yonah Mountain Vineyards. “We want our guests to feel like part of our family and share in our passion for wine.”
Phase Two, opening mid-summer 2014, features a 10,000 square foot event pavilion. “Our new event pavilion allows us to host meetings, social events, and weddings,” said Eric Miller, General Manager. “Taking advantage of our beautiful view while offering our guests high quality wine, makes for very special programs and events.”
The Grand Opening Ceremony is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2014. Special wine releases, tastings, and tours are planned throughout the weekend.

The Georgia Winery of Ringgold has announced their partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga Area for their 2014 Spring Wine Fest! Georgia Winery’s first ever Spring Wine Fest is May 10th. The winery invites attendees to spend the day sipping fine wines from local wineries in the company of good friends. This fun Saturday event is sure to help you shake off the winter doldrums. Not just for wine lovers, the evening will also feature breweries. Live music by Amber Fults and The Power Players Show Band will help to set the tone for a fun afternoon that you won’t soon forget. There will also be a wine class at 3:00 pm. The festival – located in Ringgold, Ga – goes on rain or shine on May 10th, 2014. In addition to handcrafted Georgia wines there will also be delicious food from The Muenster Truck. Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga Area is a locally organized and governed nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization that has been building simple, decent and affordable homes in Chattanooga, Tennessee, since 1986. Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga Area partners with volunteers and low income families to build affordable housing. The houses are sold to these families at no profit and with no interest. The Winegrowers Association of Georgia is holding their Annual Spring Wine Highway Weekend on March 21st & 22nd, and March 28th & 29th. This year will be their biggest event with 18 members who will participate.
