Dahlonega Wine Trail Weekend

Welcome to “The Heart of Georgia Wine Country”.   Following the success of the inaugural late summer / pre-harvest 2012 DWT last August, the Dahlonega-Lumpkin County Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center, along with Dahlonega’s five unique Wineries, will host the 2nd Annual “Dahlonega Wine Trail” (DWT) weekend passport event. The DWT experience will begin Saturday, August 17th at 12:00pm Noon – 5:00 pm and continue Sunday, August 18th from 12:30 pm until 5:00 pm. Wine enthusiasts can enjoy weekend-long festivities at Dahlonega’s award-winning wineries and beautiful vineyards as well as the always relaxing visit to Dahlonega and Lumpkin County’s destination amenities and attractions.

Dahlonega Wine Trail event passports are only $25 per person including a Souvenir Glass. Your passport is good for the weekend of August 17 & 18 for one visit to each winery. Ticket stubs in the passport are redeemable at each winery for free tastings. Many local tasting rooms in downtown Dahlonega are also offering specials for passport holders.

Passports are available, and wine trail patrons are encouraged to begin the trail event, at the Dahlonega-Lumpkin County Visitors Center in downtown Dahlonega (13 South Park Street, Dahlonega, GA 30533) – come get your passport to the wine trail with maps, visitor guides, and other helpful information. Passports will also be available at participating wineries. Quantities are limited, so purchase your passport online now and pick-up at Will Call at the Dahlonega-Lumpkin County Visitors Center in downtown Dahlonega on Saturday, August 17th between 9:00am – 5:30pm and Sunday, August 18th between 10:00am – 5:00pm. No refunds. Must present photo ID to pick up.

  1. There could never be a more notable exlpame of living the good and worthy life for others was Margaret and John Owen. We will all surely miss Dr. Owen in so many ways. Margaret was such a wonderful compliment to his outgoing caring nature. They were such superb role models for us all. What a legacy they have made here in Dahlonega. Lets continue to lift Margaret in our prayers as she seeks peace in such a loss as her faithful husband.
