Located in the “Dahlonega Plateau”, the Frogtown Cellars estate property is a 57 acre vineyard and winery complex located at the foot of the Appalachian Mountains. Founded in 1998 by Craig and Cydney Kritzer, the winery is consistently recognized as one of the most awarded wineries outside of California.
On Frogtown’s 44 acres of North Georgia vineyards, 25 different wine grape varieties are planted. In total there are 23,000 grape vines capable of producing up to 180 tons of premium wine grapes each year. This tonnage equates to over ten thousand cases of estate grown wine per year. Today, we feature two of their white varieties.
Crisp and refreshing, the Frogtown Cellars 2011 Vineaux Blanc is a blend of barrel and steel fermentations of Seyval Blanc and Viognier grapes. Ripe, tropical fruit abounds on the nose. Notes of lemon, pineapple and grapefruit show prominently on the palate. A well made wine.
